What happens when my child reaches age 13, as it says 4-13 years old?

Once your child becomes a member, they are more than welcome to continue their gymnastics journey with us, regardless of their age. The age range specified (4-13 years old) is only relevant during the enrolment process. We encourage all members to continue participating in our gymnastics program, fostering their skills and enjoyment of the sport as they grow older.

Can my child attend more than one session per week?

Currently our Recreational gymnastics program offers one session per week. However, for those invited to our Advanced sessions, there is an option to attend twice weekly. If your child demonstrates the skills and readiness for an Advanced session, they may be extended this invitation to further their gymnastics training.

When will my child join the competition squad?

Participation in our competition squads is by invitation only. Our dedicated coaches actively assess gymnasts to identify those with the suitable attributes for the competition squad. While many of our competition gymnasts have transitioned from our Recreational program, it's important to note that not all gymnasts progress into the competition squads. However, we are excited to announce the development of a Club Competition open to all gymnasts. This event will take place annually during the summer, offering every gymnast the opportunity to participate in a friendly competition and showcase their gymnastics skills.

What is the Badges Award Program?

The Evoke Gymnastics Award Programme serves as a structured curriculum designed specifically for our Recreational gymnasts. This program comprises 10 progressive levels, known as Badges. Beginning from Badge 10 (the easiest), gymnasts advance through to Badge 1 (the most challenging). Each badge includes eight individual skills:

  • 2 Flexibility skills

  • 2 Balance skills

  • 2 Agility/tumbling skills

  • 2 Strength & Conditioning skills

When a gymnast successfully completes a badge, an automatic email is sent, informing you of the gymnast's progress. Additionally, instructions on how to purchase a certificate and badge are provided, which will be awarded during the following session.

Once all badges are completed, gymnasts transition to working towards more advanced Bronze, Silver, and Gold Medal awards.

Are you open during term time only?

Preschool Sessions: These sessions operate during term time only.

Recreational Sessions: These sessions continue to run even during school and bank holidays, providing consistent opportunities for our gymnasts to participate. However, please note that we do have a two-week break during the Christmas holidays and in the summer.

Why do we pay monthly, even in August and December when there is a two-week break?

We operate our sessions for 48 weeks throughout the year. The monthly payment system is based on this annual schedule. Here's how it works:

  • Cost Calculation: The cost is calculated based on one session per week.

  • Annual Total: We multiply the cost per session by the 48 weeks we operate each year.

  • Monthly Breakdown: To facilitate easier budgeting for our participants, we divide the annual total by 12 months.

For example, if our recreational class costs £9.50 per session:

£9.50 x 48 weeks / 12 months = £38 per month.

This system ensures consistent and manageable monthly payments for our participants, even during the scheduled breaks in August and December.
