Jess & Lydia Win Three Medals at the Acrobatic Gymnastics World Championships

Jess & Lydia have returned from the 30th Acrobatic Gymnastics World Championships in Pesaro, Italy, with an incredible three medals for Great Britain.

Competing in the Senior Women’s Pair category, the girls reached all three finals and finished the Championships with:

🥈 Silver, All-Around

🥈 Silver, Dynamic Final

🥉 Bronze, Balance Final

Their competition began with Balance qualification, where a few small errors meant they had to work hard for their place in the final. They finished 7th, securing one of the eight available spots.

The following day brought a much stronger Dynamic routine. Jess & Lydia produced an excellent performance to qualify for the Dynamic Final in 3rd place.

Across the two qualification routines, they finished 4th overall, which also secured their place in the All-Around Final and meant they had successfully qualified for every final available to them.

Three finals, three medals

Jess & Lydia stepped up again when finals began.

They delivered a strong performance in the All-Around Final to become World Championship silver medallists, before adding a second silver medal in the Dynamic Final.

Their Championships concluded with the Balance Final, where the girls produced a really solid routine to finish 3rd and add a World bronze medal to an already fantastic weekend.

To reach the podium in all three finals at a Senior World Championships is a huge achievement and a result that Jess & Lydia can be incredibly proud of.

It was the culmination of a busy season of training and competition, and another very special international achievement for the partnership.
